Book Blurb
"Mia had everything: a loving family, a gorgeous, adoring boyfriend, and a bright future full of music and full of choices. Then, in an instant, almost all of that is taken from her. Caught between life and death, between a happy past and an unknowable future, Mia spends one critical day contemplating the only decision she has left -- the most important decision she'll ever make.
Simultaneously tragic and hopeful, this is a romantic, riveting, and ultimately uplifting story about
memory, music, living, dying, loving."

My Thoughts:
Going into this book I was expecting to need a box of tissues on one side and a calming cup of tea on the other; and I am an emotional reader. But this was not the case, Gayle Forman wrote this beautiful book in such a way that it didn't make me sad, or even happy. It just made me feel. I felt for Mia and her decision, I felt for Mia's family, her friends, as well as her above stated "adoring boyfriend".
I loved this book and was not left with any disappointment, just more excitement for the movie adaptation
coming to theaters August 22, 2014.

I recommend this book to anyone and everyone!

Reborn Book Review

Reborn by C.C. Hunter is the first novel in the spin off series, Shadow Falls: After Dark.
Back at Shadow Falls C.C. introduces us more into the life of young Vampire Della Tsang. In Reborn, Della finds herself facing new obstacles with love, friends, family, and so much more.

Personally, I absolutely loved this book. Especially after reading the original Shadow Falls novels I was ecstatic to be able to keep up with all the characters at the camp along with getting to know some new characters that were brought in. C.C. Hunter knows right where the sweet spot is when it comes to being a teenager, but a teenager AND a supernatural? Imagine all the craziness that goes on with that. Hunter hits it right on the head! (I think, I'm not a vampire.)

I don't know about you, but usually by the time I reach the middle of a book I can predict everything that's about to happen; in Reborn this was difficult. She had you thinking one thing and then BAM! It's something else. Nothing could be more true to this than how she ended this amazing, adventurous, and courageous story about a daring teen vamp that's slowly figuring out her life as it goes on.

I can't wait to see what happens in Eternal, the next book in the series that's supposed to be released in a couple short months!
